Etude House: Concealer Stick
Sunday, March 10, 2013 | 7:16 AM | | 0 Comments
My very first purchase in Etude House is this cute little Concealer Stick. Kpop was very much in during those days and I cannot help my self to pick out products from Korean Brands, not to mention their very cute boutique. The sales ladies were also dressed in cute pin Lolita uniforms which makes the place very fun to shop in.
Etude House make-ups are a bit pricier than local make-up. Nonetheless, they are much cheaper than high-end foreign brands. Also, the formula of their products were created in accordance with the needs of Asian skin. However, since Etude house caters mostly to Korean women, common shades of concealers, foundation and powders are lighter. So if you're a dark skinned Filipina, you might have a hard time finding the right shade for you in Etude House.
The packaging does not state the amount of product contained in the stick. Nonetheless, based on my observation, it may last you around one to two months for daily usage.
It comes in a handy stick which has a size almost similar to your regular sign pen or liquid liner pen.
You may get the product by rotating the lower end of the packaging and voila, you have your concealer in an instant.
The product consistency is quite nice. It has a creamy texture, almost rooting into creamy/powdery texture. This makes it easy to blend in the skin. Along with this, you get a nice coverage due to its good pigmentation.
There are two shades according to the sales lady which ushered me in the shop. Luckily, the only shade that was in stock was my shade. Lucky me!
The coverage is good compare to Etude House's liquid concealer which, as they said, recommended only for under eye circles. This concealer may cover up blemishes and at the same time provide a highlight due to its light color.
You may refer to the sample usage of this concealer on my finger wound. It was able to alleviate the red color. Nonetheless, since it does not have a yellow to green undertone, the redness did not completely disappear.
Also, the coverage does not last a long time. After two to three hours, the product may linger or crease in some parts of your face. It did not quite look great as I felt the need to touch up at once.
You may want to purchase another product to avail their Pink Membership Card which was quite great. The Pink Card may provide you freebies and rebates as you buy products from their shop.
I'll give this concealer stick a rating of 6.5 out of 10. This is due to the non-pro long wear. But still the coverage is great and you are recommended to touch up every now and then.
