Max Factor: Pan Stik Nouveau Beige
Saturday, March 16, 2013 | 5:45 AM | | 0 Comments
It was my mom who introduced me to Max Factor cosmetics. My impression on their products was great given that my mom has been using them for years already. That's why I got excited when she handed me down her Max Factor Two-way cake before. Now, I am trying another product from their line which is Pan Stik which is just a stick version of their pan cake foundation.
I was impressed with the coverage when I swatched it on my hand. I was supposed to get the Miracle Touch cream foundation but upon trying it on the back of my hand, I noticed that Pan Stik is much better. It does not cake and did not emphasize the fine lines in my hand. As swatched in my healing hand wound, it settled in the craters of the scar making it more visible as a white layer forms around it.
As I tried it on my skin, it emphasized my healing acne as it caked and settled on the sides of the bump. The good side to this stick is that it has a nice coverage. With just a single swipe, you get the most out of the product. shown below is my skin with the Pan Stik on. Since Max Factor came from the UK, the undertones were not meant for Asian skin. It has a pinkish undertone which is not perfect for my yellow one.
You may observe from the before and after pictures that my face has gone to a western-looking skin tone. It was not bad but it was not good as well. I usually use this to touch up certain parts of my face and not for every day use. You may just want to let it oxidize on your skin for a more natural-looking finish.
You may easily get this product on Rustans' Department Store, SM Department Stores and some Watsons Drugstore for only Php495.
For Filipina women who think that this stick foundation is quite pricey for every day use, a great dupe for this is the Ever Bilena stick foundation which costs around Php250. Also, Ever Bilena may offer a more larger range of undertones meant for Asian skin. However, I am not sure of the coverage that his product may provide.
I give this product a rating of 7 out of 10.
